My Speech

My speech topic is dogs.

I chose this topic because I used to have a dog.

 Speech Topic: Dogs. 

Why do dogs make good pets? I think dogs make good pets because they guard your house from people you do not know. Dogs are fun to play with. Please listen to my three reasons why dogs make good pets.

Firstly, I like dogs because they can guard your house from strangers, when they try to rob you the dog will bark at them. It will let you know if someone is coming.

Secondly, I think dogs are good to keep because they are fun to play with. When you throw the ball, the dog will catch it. You can take them for a walk and to the beach.

Finally, the dogs can keep you company when you're sad or sick or hurt. They make you happy and cuddle up to you. They can jump in your lap.

I believe that dogs are good pets to keep. People need to look after their dogs. 

Diamante Matariki poem

For our learning about Matariki we had to write a diamante poem. We have to use nouns, adjectives and verbs to make our poem.

Part Whole thinking

I have been thinking about part whole thinking. This helps me with my addition and subtraction thinking. I liked it so much because I like learning maths.

Germ pom pom

For Art we made pom pom germ using wool. We gave our germs names and decided whether they were a good germ or a bad germ.

For maths we have been learning our times tables. We have created a times maze. You have to use your times tables to get the chicken to her eggs.

Bubble Writing

This week we played with bubbles. We blew bubbles outside. Mrs Clarke had some really big bubbles. We used juicy words to write a piece of writing. Here is my work.
